MGS Mfg. Group
Community, Education & Industry Involvement
At MGS Mfg. Group, we are devoted to giving back to the Community through organized charity events and raising money, clothing, or non-perishable food for local charities to educating the younger generation about the career opportunities available in Manufacturing.
MGS will be holding its 6th Annual Food Drive October 31 - November 18, 2017. This year our goal is to collect 10,000 pounds of non-perishable food items. MGS will make a matching donation, dollar for dollar of the total collective employee contributions.
October 7 – MGS opened its doors to students, teachers, parents and other visitors on Manufacturing Day 2017 to show them our manufacturing facility and discuss careers in manufacturing. Manufacturing Day is held the first Friday every October and is a celebration of modern manufacturing meant to inspire the next generation.
September 8 – MGS employees volunteered their time to help build a home for Habitat For Humanity. The volunteers worked on roofing, moving and leveling gravel in the driveway, amongst other tasks.
July 21, 2016 - Students from various middle and high schools participated in a three-day Career Fitness Camp, which combines career planning with other activities. Coordinated by MATC, the event allows students to tour local manufacturing facilities and learn about the exciting careers that are available in our industry.
The MGS Mfg. Group is devoted to helping those in need. Through organized charity events, the company raises money, clothing and non-perishable food items for local charities while generating awareness throughout the community.
MGS provides support to local schools at both the high school and college level in a variety of ways. The company offers facility tours to students who are interested in learning more about our industry and the breadth of career opportunities that are available. MGS also participates in career fairs, which give students the opportunity to speak directly with employers and gets them thinking about their long-term career goals. Additionally, the MGS team works one-on-one with instructors and curriculum developers of various schools to determine how we can support students through intern/apprenticeship programs, hands-on training sessions and more.
As a member of the Germantown Area Chamber of Commerce, we participate in area programs that better the community in which we do business.
